choosing the right photo for your portrait
Please be selective when choosing a photo for sending in. Photos need to be high in quality and crisp enough to work with the detail. Good lighting, high resolution and composition are things to look out for. If in doubt contact us or send your photos in and we can advise what will and will not work.
Here is a good example of photo to work with
This photo has ideal lighting, the head fills the photograph and when you zoom in the detail stays consistent. This photo is ideal for the illustrator and warhol style.
This is an acceptable photo to work with
This photo is acceptable because the person fills a large section of the photo and when when you zoom in you can still capture detail in the facial features. Because the quality is acceptable to work with it still lacks sharpness so see if you can find more clearer shots to create the ideal pop portrait.
This is a sub standard photo to work with
This photo looks fine from a distance but when you zoom in the photo looks pixelated. The photo would have probably been ok at a much higher resolution so check that your camera is on the highest setting to obtain the perfect shot. |
